Chaz Prymek is a guitarist, interdisciplinary artist and curator working and living in Salt Lake City, UT. Perhaps most widely known for his work under the moniker Lake Mary or as member of the ‘ambient jazz’ quartet Fuubutsushi , Prymek makes work that bridges finger style guitar, ambient, folk, jazz and free improvisation. Making music and art that delve into the spaciousness of deep emotional narratives and personal hymn. Prymek’s sonic exploratory nature has resulted in nearly three dozen solo and collaborative releases, film scores, music for dance and art installations and has appeared on numerous records.
Prymek curates and facilitates
Yardwork Presents, an exploratory music and arts programming throughout Salt Lake City, and is co-founder of Profane Illuminations Editions, a small editions imprint fostering re-enchantment in everyday life through long form media works created in a spirit of collaboration and solidarity.
